Steven Allan Spielberg is an American filmmaker who is the highest-grossing film director of all time and a defining figure of the modern blockbuster. His credits include Jaws (1975), the Indiana Jones franchise, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Jurassic Park (1993), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Munich (2005), and Lincoln (2012), and he won Academy Awards for Best Director for Schindler's List (1993) and Saving Private Ryan. He co-founded DreamWorks SKG in 1994 and later launched the USC Shoah Foundation, which has recorded and preserved more than 50,000 video testimonies from Holocaust survivors and witnesses.
