Steve Mnuchin

Steven Terner Mnuchin is an American investment banker and film producer who served as the 77th U.S. Secretary of the Treasury from 2017 to 2021 in the first Trump administration. As CEO of OneWest Bank from 2009 to 2015 he oversaw the foreclosure of more than 36,000 California homeowners, drawing public protest and the nickname "the foreclosure king." As Treasury Secretary he was the principal architect of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which the Congressional Budget Office estimated would add about $1.9 trillion to the federal deficit while disproportionately benefiting corporations and the wealthy.
