Scott Walker

Scott Kevin Walker is an American politician who served as the 45th governor of Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. His first major act as governor, the 2011 Act 10 budget repair bill, eliminated most collective-bargaining rights for state and local public employees and triggered weeks of mass protests at the Wisconsin State Capitol. He survived a 2012 recall election to become the first U.S. governor to do so, then signed laws cutting public-school funding, slashing the state's social safety net, and imposing voter ID requirements widely criticized as suppressive. His 2016 presidential campaign collapsed within months of its launch.
