Paul Newman

Paul Leonard Newman was an American actor, filmmaker, and philanthropist whose 50-year career produced an Academy Award for Best Actor for The Color of Money (1986) along with nine additional acting nominations. His major roles include Hud, Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and the autobiographical Nobody's Fool. In 1982 he founded Newman's Own, the food company whose entire after-tax profits—more than $600 million to date—have been donated to charity, including the SeriousFun Children's Network of summer camps for children with serious illnesses.
