Naomi Campbell is a British supermodel who rose to prominence in the late 1980s as one of the original supermodels alongside Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington. She has been convicted of assault on multiple occasions, including a 2000 attack on her personal assistant in London, a 2007 guilty plea for hurling a BlackBerry at her housekeeper at her Manhattan apartment, and a 2008 conviction for assaulting two Heathrow police officers after a luggage dispute. In 2010 she testified at the war-crimes trial of former Liberian president Charles Taylor about "dirty-looking stones" she received as a gift from him following a 1997 charity dinner.
