Jordan Peterson

Jordan Bernt Peterson is a Canadian psychologist and media commentator who first came to broad public attention in 2016 for opposing Bill C-16, a Canadian human-rights amendment that added gender identity and expression as protected grounds. His subsequent self-help books, lectures, and podcast appearances have built a large young-male audience, while his public statements—on transgender rights, climate change, the World Health Organization, and women's roles—have drawn sustained criticism from clinicians, scientists, and former colleagues. The College of Psychologists of Ontario in 2022 ordered him to undergo coaching for unprofessional public statements, an order he has unsuccessfully challenged in court.
