dead
James Douglas Morrison was an American singer-songwriter and poet who served as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of the Doors, one of the most commercially successful and culturally influential rock bands of the late 1960s. The group's six studio albums recorded with Morrison—including the self-titled debut and L.A. Woman—produced enduring rock standards such as "Light My Fire," "The End," "Riders on the Storm," and "Hello, I Love You." He died in Paris at age 27 in July 1971 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Doors in 1993.
