Jim Jordan

James Daniel Jordan is an American politician who has served in the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio since 2007 and is a co-founder of the right-wing populist Freedom Caucus. As an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University from 1986 to 1994, he was named in multiple sworn testimonies and lawsuits as having been told about sexual abuse of student wrestlers by team physician Richard Strauss—accusations he denies. He played a leading role in the planning to overturn the 2020 presidential election and refused to comply with a subpoena from the House January 6 Select Committee.
