Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is an English actress who rose to global fame at age 11 playing Hermione Granger in the eight Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011, alongside her completion of a degree in English literature at Brown University. Subsequent film work includes Beauty and the Beast (2017) and Greta Gerwig's Little Women (2019). Since 2014 she has served as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, founding the HeForShe campaign for gender equality and using her platform to advance feminist causes.
