Dean Martin, born Dino Paul Crocetti, was an American singer, actor, and television host whose smooth baritone, comic timing, and air of effortless ease made him one of the most popular entertainers of the 20th century. His decade-long partnership with Jerry Lewis from 1946 to 1956 produced a record-breaking nightclub act and 16 films, after which he reinvented himself as a solo singer, dramatic actor in films including Some Came Running and Rio Bravo, and the longtime host of NBC's Dean Martin Show and Celebrity Roasts.
