Corey R. Lewandowski is an American political operative who served as the first campaign manager for Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and as acting chief of staff to Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem in 2025. In March 2016 he was charged with simple battery for grabbing a Breitbart News reporter on the campaign trail in Florida, with the charge later dropped, and he was further accused in 2021 of unwanted sexual advances toward a Republican donor at a Las Vegas event. He has remained an aggressive defender of Trump across cable news and conservative media throughout the post-2020 election period.
