Cat Stevens

Yusuf Islam, born Steven Demetre Georgiou and originally known by his stage name Cat Stevens, is a British singer-songwriter who has sold more than 100 million records over a six-decade career. His early-1970s albums Tea for the Tillerman, Teaser and the Firecat, and Catch Bull at Four produced enduring songs including "Wild World," "Father and Son," "Peace Train," and "Morning Has Broken." He converted to Islam in 1977 and stepped away from secular music for two decades, focusing on humanitarian work and educational charities, before returning to mainstream recording in 2006.
