Anthony Scaramucci is an American financier and broadcaster whose tenure as White House communications director in 2017 lasted only 11 days, the shortest of any officeholder in modern White House history. His firing followed a profanity-laden phone interview with The New Yorker in which he attacked then–Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon. He has since publicly broken with Donald Trump and become a vocal media critic of the president, while building a substantial cryptocurrency and hedge-fund business as the founder of SkyBridge Capital.
