Emory Andrew Tate III is an American-British social-media personality and former kickboxer who built one of the largest "manosphere" online followings in the late 2010s and early 2020s with explicitly misogynistic content. He has been banned at various points by Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter for violating policies on hateful or violent content. In Romania he was indicted in 2023 on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal group to sexually exploit women, with related charges against his brother Tristan Tate; he has remained under various forms of judicial control while the Romanian and British prosecutions have proceeded.
