Alejandro "Alex" Olmedo Rodríguez was a Peruvian-born American tennis player who won the 1959 Australian Championships and 1959 Wimbledon men's singles titles, as well as the 1960 U.S. Pro Championship. As a member of the U.S. Davis Cup team he played the decisive role in the United States winning the 1958 Davis Cup against Australia in Brisbane. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1987.
