Alessia Caracciolo, known professionally as Alessia Cara, is a Canadian singer and songwriter whose 2015 debut single "Here" became a sleeper hit on its way to platinum certifications in multiple countries. She won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2018 and has earned multiple Juno Awards including Album of the Year for The Pains of Growing. Her introspective songwriting and contralto vocals have made her one of the most widely streamed Canadian pop artists of her generation.
