José Alberto Pujols Alcántara is a Dominican-American former Major League Baseball first baseman who across 22 seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels, and Los Angeles Dodgers compiled 703 home runs, 2,218 runs batted in, and 3,384 hits. He won three NL MVP Awards, two World Series titles with the Cardinals, and ten Silver Slugger Awards, retiring in 2022 as a member of the elite 700 home-run club alongside Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth. He has been widely respected as one of the most reliably productive hitters of his generation.
