Albert Finney was an English actor whose six-decade career spanned the British New Wave through Hollywood blockbusters, with notable roles in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960), Tom Jones (1963), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), Erin Brockovich (2000), and the James Bond film Skyfall (2012). He earned five Academy Award nominations and won three BAFTA Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Emmy across his career, while famously declining offers of both a CBE and a knighthood. He continued to work on stage and screen until shortly before his death in 2019.
