alive
Albert Jojuan Belle is an American former Major League Baseball outfielder who played from 1989 to 2000, primarily for the Cleveland Indians, and in 1995 became the only player ever to hit 50 doubles and 50 home runs in a single season. His career off the field was marked by a 1995 incident in which he threw a baseball at a NBC reporter at the All-Star Game, a 1995 Halloween incident in which he chased trick-or-treaters with his car, and a 2006 conviction for stalking a former girlfriend. He has not been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, dropping off the ballot for falling well below the necessary support threshold in his final year of eligibility.
