Alanis Nadine Morissette is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter whose 1995 album Jagged Little Pill, released when she was 21, sold more than 33 million copies worldwide and became one of the best-selling albums of all time. Often called the "Queen of Alt-Rock Angst," she has earned seven Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, and 14 Juno Awards across a career spanning more than three decades, while writing the score for a Tony-winning Broadway adaptation of Jagged Little Pill. She has also been an outspoken survivor and advocate addressing predatory behavior in the music industry.
