Alain Marie Pascal Prost is a French former Formula One racing driver and team owner, nicknamed "the Professor" for his analytical and strategic approach to racing. He won four Formula One World Drivers' Championships—1985, 1986, 1989, and 1993—and at the time of his retirement held the records for most race wins (51), fastest laps, and podium finishes. His decade-long rivalry with Ayrton Senna at McLaren and Williams defined late-1980s and early-1990s F1.
