Alfred Unser Jr., known as "Little Al," is an American former racing driver who won the Indianapolis 500 twice—in 1992 and 1994—and captured two CART championship titles in 1990 and 1994. He won the Can-Am championship as a 20-year-old in 1982 before moving to the Indy car ranks, where he carried the Unser family name to a fifth generation of major American open-wheel success. After his racing career he has been open about his struggles with substance abuse and his subsequent recovery.
