Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is an English singer and songwriter whose mezzo-soprano voice and confessional songwriting have made her one of the best-selling musical artists of the 21st century. Her four numbered studio albums—19, 21, 25, and 30—have collectively sold more than 120 million units, and 21 alone became the longest-running number-one album by a female solo artist on the Billboard 200. Her honors include 16 Grammy Awards, 12 Brit Awards, an Academy Award for the Skyfall theme, a Primetime Emmy, and a Golden Globe.
