Adam George Ramsay Peaty is an English competitive swimmer specializing in sprint breaststroke who in 2016 became the first British male swimmer in 24 years to win Olympic gold, in the 100-metre breaststroke at the Rio Games. He successfully defended the title in 2021, becoming the first British swimmer ever to retain an Olympic title, and has set multiple world records in the event. He is an eight-time World Champion and a 16-time European Champion.
